WESCO Division - W.R. Controls - Helps Borders Books Reduce Costs
Feeling the effects of sporadic delivery and inconsistency in quality of electrical distribution equipment from a previous supplier, Borders Books sought a new supplier that offered great value to them as well as deliver what they promised and found these characteristics in W.R. Controls.
W.R. Controls provided Borders Books with a cost-effective solution that standardized power and electrical control for all their stores. This standardization allowed Borders to reduce cost, gain selling and/or storage space, and increase the efficiency of chain expansion.
W.R. Controls determined each store's specific requirements and developed a custom designed, Integrated Facility System (IFS) package for each location. W.R. Controls' solution provides each Borders' store with an integrated system using advanced packaging technology, custom control solutions, state-of-the-art components, and Cutler-Hammer's industry-leading power distribution and control equipment. W.R. Controls gave Borders a standard product that would work for every new store it built. This enabled Borders to reduce the floor space needed to mount the equipment, minimize the material content of the electrical distribution equipment, lower the overall equipment cost, and contain associated labor installation charges.
